I just moved to Brigantine and went to Acme market, while I was checking out a large woman aproched me like a detective over the doughnut bag , asked if I needed help with the muffins. I said no I'm buying doughnuts and proceeded to check out. The next day I went there again and she confronted me asking if I was there yesterday I said yes. She the said you bought Danish yesterday not doughnuts. They should put up a sign explaining the difference. I wont return to that store again ! I dont need insults from a cashier who want to be a Frigin derective. Anyway Acme way over priced !!!
Average size market for the Acme chain with smaller fresh meat selection. Only true supermarket on Brigantine. Also sells NY Post and Daily News for NYC paper lovers. I happen to like their meats and buy at Acme at home so I have a built in bias! Join their Mymixx club on line. No card required just a phone number.
It's ok. The prices are too high. The employees are really friendly and helpful. The store is clean. For a larger shop I would go to shop rite.
That don't stock up on the sale meats. It's annoying to make a trip for groceries and not get what you went in for. This has happened at least ten times to me. I also got attitude about the rain check. They made me feel like I was bothering them.i wish they had some competition.
Fast...clean .. friendly employees the only downside is the size in comparison to Ventnor Acme much less selection due to a smaller location besides that quality is just as good...
